I read Redfall before the first book in the series and I am very glad I did. A very evocative piece, Redfall immediately immerses you inside its slightly different fantasy world - and it is something to be glad about. It is a shame that Amazon does not allow half stars on its reviews, because this book definitely warrants 4.5 stars.
